Exquisite chamber, choral and orchestral music performed in the heart of Nottinghamshire

Southwell Music Festival takes place in late August in the beautiful Nottinghamshire cathedral town of Southwell.

Southwell Music Festival will return in August 2026. Programme and booking information will be released in Spring 2026.

Locals and visitors to the town can enjoy concerts and performances across the town, with a curated programme featuring acclaimed singers and musicians performing. There’s also the opportunity for local musicians to take part, whether that’s performing at a free Fringe event or joining together at the ever-popular Come and Sing.

The stunning Southwell Minster is the Festival’s main venue and backdrop with the Minster grounds being its epicentre – make sure to visit the Festival Hub, say hello to the volunteers and pick up your Festival programme.
